Went there to dine for my girlfriend's birthday. Called them twice to organize a birthday plate and confirm the reservation. I have been told by the receptionist No birthday cake and No table by the window guaranteed but YES for a birthday plate with the dessert chosen.
Amazing view greets you on arrival but that's all. We ordered an aperitif and the food from the menu with a very poor choise. Later I ordered a bottle of white wine 1997 and the Sommelier (let's call him like this) took the wine order. After a couple of minutes he came back to our table, mentioning that as the wine list shows they do have only the 1995 adding also the it was an even better vintage. Unfortunately for him, this wine is produced in both version White and Red. So I had to show him that they do have on THEIR wine list also the White 1997. He looked like "I'm sorry I have NO clue about what I sell". Embarassing! So now, the nightmare begins! Food: FOAM served with FOAM. They have forgotten even the birthday plate to be presented with the desset. They spoilt the surprise and the evening too. Very very disappointing. That was a such bad restaurant experience! I won't recommend this place at all.

I agree with the reviewer 'Barra' who talked about the bubbly foam at Rhodes 24. My recent meal there oozed the stuff; foamy soup, foamy pasta, and foamy puddings. It was like being at a frog fanciers' convention.
The decor is dreary - dull corporate monochrome glimsed through the restaurant's reactolite rapide glass windows. Disconsolate staff hoisted an overweight cheese trolley up on to the restaurant's ludicrously impractical raised platform section and down, up and down, up and down as in the background corporate diners processed their bubbly rations.
George Romero should have been filming. A frothing zombie intruder would at least have introduced some much needed passion.

I haven't eaten this well this high up since the 12:45 BA flight from Stansted to Nice. To be clear, that's not a compliment to BA or Rhodes 24.
This place should really be removed from the "best for..." section. A good night out involves more than poncy, over salty, copy cat food and a good view. The hard slightly stale bread really was like BA's best, my main dish (sole) tasted only of salt, and the dessert (warm chocolate cake) was a bad mix of bitter chocolate and sour yoghurt.
One thing BA has that this place didn't have is those napkins to cover the head rests--here, there was a greasy sheen along the wall of our booth at head level. Ughh. And the seats didn't recline either.
Service was premium economy--not bad, but it seemed to me that, like BA, the staff's "primary concern is your safety" rather than your enjoyment. And the foam! The three of us had so much foam on our plates it reminded me of a bad club night in Bournemouth.

Just celebrated my husbands birthday in Rhodes 24. We had an amazing time. The restaurant itself was buzzing and the veiws across London were beautiful. The staff were outstanding, so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Food was delicious and the wine was gorgeous. We will defininitely be returning when we are next in London.

For the price, this was the worst restaurant I have ever been. The quality of the food did not match the great view. The starter was average (Crab Raviolo & Guinea Fowl) , the main meal horrible (Rabbit & Sea Bream) and the dessert very disappointing (Apple & Creme Brulee). I used to respect Mr Rhodes but not any more. I will never return to this restaurant and will advise friends and family to avoid this restaurant. The service was slow and the waitress very rude. I have had a truely miserable bithhday.

I took my son and his girlfriend to Rhodes 24 for dinner last Thursday 10th April.
We had lovely cocktails prior to the meal, but I was disappointd that the meal let us down. Service was extremely slow, with long gaps before each course.
We had two bottles of wine, a red and a white, costing seventy pound in total, but we found it very odd indeed (and inconvenient) that the waiter stored our bottles well away from our table, so that our glasses remained unfilled for much of the time.
The portions were far too small - I had sea bass at thirty pounds, and the serving was tiny.
The accompanying mashed potato was cold.
We all enjoyed the three courses, but there was insufficient for the cost.
I would never go there again, I feel that the service was far below the standard to be expected from a top rated place like this.

I recently had the pleasure of having a meal in Rhodes 24 with my partner and son. Everything was fantastic! the ambience, surroundings, attentivness of the staff and of course the food and wine. Everything was delicious and I was especially happy as i'm vegeterian. We felt so relaxed and unhurried and hopefully we'll have the opportunity to eat there again - soon! THANK YOU to all the staff in Rhodes 24 for making it such an unforgetable experience.

I recently went to the Rhodes W1 restuarant which I was unimpressed with as I found it completely over priced and far too stuffy. Given that experience, I went to Rhodes24 with low expectations and had them hugely exceeded.
The service was attentive without being over baring, the starter of Peas Soup with a poached egg was trully amazing and the view breathtaking.
When I go to client lunches I allways guage a restaurant on wether I would spend my own hard earned cash there, and Rhodes 24 is worth every penny!

Went to Twenty Four on Monday for a friends birthday and have to say what a fantastic place! The food, although pricy was incredibly good quality and perfectly cooked. The menu was superb with good choice and variety. The Sommelier was well informed and recommended some great wines to go with our food. The view was amazing and the decor of the restaurant was very pleasing. The staff were attentive from a distance and this combined with the food made for a great meal out. This is definitely an exspensive place to eat but worth it for an occasion. I have eaten at Fifteen and other "celebrity" chef restaurants and never been that impressed but Twenty Four has changed that for me. I will be definitely be going back.

went to rhodes 24 last thursday. the food was very nice plus i left feeling pleasantly full. i had foie gras for starter which was okay plus a delicious sea bass for main, however, you must try gary rhodes signature pudding, for those who love traditional british puddings it is exceptional.
one waiter seemed a little stuffy but other than that the service was good and sommelier was very helpful and friendly.
the restaranrt itself is a little formal and it lacked a little atmosphere but apparantly it is best a night time, especially with the wonderful view.
i wasn't paying so i didn't pay much attention to the cost but from what i can remember the cost was in corrolation to other michelin starred/fine dining restarants in london
